Here, I will be showcasing various areas of Whidbey. I have uploaded some pictures in the photoalbum that show and say a lot. Definitely much more entertaining than miles of text to read. My intention is to bring as much helpful information not only to residents in the area but also to guests we seem to get whole year 'round--antique collectors, campers, sports fishermen, weekend sailors, RVers etc.

The Deception Pass BridgeThere are a number of ways to get on the Island. Be ready to enjoy a lot of nature and history whether you come by riding the ferries or driving your own car. I came on the Island by way of Deception Pass Bridge. There are areas to park your car and walk to see the sight of deep turbulent waters below and a view of the Deception Pass State Park beaches from the bridge. Just be careful! I personally draw the line when there are high winds blowing or visiblity is not at its best (whether from a marine layer/fog, rain or snow). Consider to visit the park not only for some sun, sea and fish. For those driving through, there are public restrooms available within the vicinity.

A stroll on a bridge is but a smidgen of what can be your Whidbey Island experience. Continue browsing my website! Guests, fellow residents, newly stationed US Navy personnel and Navy families... welcome to Whidbey Living.

There is more than information on this website. A personal website cannot be without personal stories. I have numerous ones and a multitude more just develops in a day. Some of which I dare to post in my blog. Not all entries are meaningless meanderings or tales of a day that have gone awry. I share my own experiences and some tips that you might pick up something from.

All images on this site are from my private collection. They are taken with my digital Hewlett Packard and Olympus cameras and painstakingly prepared for your viewing pleasure only. Reproduction and/or use without permission are highly discouraged.
